Bigger jobs

Make-readys & capital projects.

Turnovers, renovations, and association capital work are project-quoted — one clear line-item scope, not an open meter. For managed projects our licensed GC arm charges a project-management fee on a sliding scale by job size:

Up to $5,00012%
$5,001 – $25,00010%
$25,001 and up8%
Minimum PM fee$500

8–12% sits at or below typical Massachusetts GC oversight (10–20%).

Membership pays for itself

PSB Pro members get 10% off all labor, the $75 trip fee waived every visit, and priority scheduling — from $49/mo. Two visits a year and it's paid for.

Pricing FAQ

What Boston owners ask about cost

How much does a handyman cost in Boston?

Our in-house handyman rate is $125/hour plus a flat $75 trip fee, but most common jobs are flat-rate — a faucet or disposal replacement is $185, a toilet repair $125 (labor). Members save 10% and skip the trip fee.

How much do plumbers and electricians cost?

Licensed plumbing and electrical run $179/hour in Boston. We price common jobs flat: a GFCI outlet $179, a shutoff-valve replace $189, a new ceiling-fan install $449 (labor).

How much does a rental make-ready cost?

Make-readys are quoted by scope — a light clean-and-paint turn costs far less than a full refresh. We quote the whole turn as one line-item scope so there are no surprises, with member labor rates for landlords.

How much does condo association maintenance cost?

Recurring maintenance is scoped per building; capital projects are project-quoted with a sliding project-management fee (12% up to $5k, 10% to $25k, 8% above), $500 minimum.

Are materials included?

No — flat-rate prices are labor only. Materials and fixtures are billed at cost + 20%, or you can supply them.

What is the $75 trip fee?

It covers travel and dispatch for a visit, no matter how many items we handle that trip. It's waived entirely for PSB Pro members.
